The incident took place around 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, when the three people walked into the store and began looking and touching items, said Lt. John Slusarz with the Greenwich Police.
The trio continued to the second floor where they began looking at coats and jackets and in a sudden, "panicked" move grabbed several coats and ran down the stairs and out the door of the store, police said.
They were last seen leaving the store in a Honda HRV with the tag 8KM759.
The stolen coats included three black Canada Goose jackets, two burgundy Canada Goose jackets, and one red Canada Goose jacket. The coats are valued at $6,5290.93, police said.
The suspects are described as followed:
- Suspect 1: Black female with short black hair, heavier build, 5-foot-6, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and gray UGG boots.
- Suspect 2: Black female, braided black hair, skinny, 5-foot-6, wearing a grey sweatshirt, jeans, and black and white sneakers.
- Suspect 3 Black unknown if male or female, long black braided hair, large/heavier build, 5-foot-6, wearing a gray sweatshirt with a pink shirt underneath, grey sweatpants, and black and white sneakers.
Store employees believe the third suspect was a man dress as a woman, police said.
